WEEK 7 UPDATE

WEEK 7 UPDATE:

For this week, we continued working in our sub-problem teams to answer big questions. For the pump and filter team, we decided not to make our own pump since that will take a lot of time and we can either use a centrifugal pump or a diaphragm pump. We also finalized that there will be three filters in our process, a sediment filter, a carbon filter, and the semi-permeable membrane. For the solar panel and battery sub-problem, we compared and contrast some products in the market that will be usable for an approximation based on the calculated power consumption of our filtration system. Also, we met with an industry advisor which gave us additional feedback and advice regarding design and analysis. For next week, our team planned to continue working on our subproblems and do as much analysis as we can to finalize and address the issue we are dealing with in this project.
